The first time I launched my digital product, I ummed and aahed over the price. “I want it to be a no-brainer," I kept saying to my mentors and peers. By this, I meant a super low price. The kind of deal people would jump on instantly because it’s just that good. Deep down, a part of me felt scared of flopping and only seeing “no’s” in the form of an empty inbox and a negative Stripe balance. So every time a price landed in my mind, I’d continue slashing it in half. But in the thick of my own self-doubt and anxiety, I’d completely forgotten the one thing I always hammer home with my clients (and ironically, is what they hire me for): Making sales isn’t just about slapping on the right price tag. 👉 It’s about the story you craft around your offer and the clarity of your messaging. When you’re able to paint a vivid picture of the problem your offer will solve... What your prospect’s life will look like after they buy your course… And tap into their emotions… You’ll be able to make sales whether your offer is priced at $97, $997, or $9,997. (Just like my clients once we fine-tuned their messaging to showcase their true value) So, if you're currently wrestling with the price of your offer because you’re scared you won’t make sales — step back, take a deep breath, then center your focus on the transformation your offer will provide. "You've been traveling a lot lately" - someone said to me on a call last week. "Yes!" I perked up "We've gone on more trips this year than the last 2 years combined." ^^This is what I aspired to when starting my online business (and especially when we were stuck in lockdown). But you know the weird thing about these trips? Despite booking them in advance, and having so many clear, white spaces on the calendar we could choose from -- I felt angsty. Because *what if* a last-min client wants to book me that week before their launch and I have to *gasp* say no and lose that sale? *What if* an old client happens to need me while I'm gone and I can't be there to help them? Taking time off feels ~off ~ when your natural instinct is to people-please, say yes no matter what, and you feel you have to be "on" all the time. And according to @linda.m.perry it's gonna be a lifelong journey for me to unlearn all that (love that for me). But I'm slowly (emphasis on slow) learning to enforce more boundaries, more parameters, more systems so I can go away and stuff-my-face with delish food, stress-free.
