Audience research process feeling like a hot mess?

Then say hello to:

The Airtable Advantage Workshop

A launch copywriter’s secret weapon to streamlining and organising your audience research so you can create compelling copy & content fast

Audience and Voice-of-Customer (VOC) research is the key to writing empathy-driven copy and content that resonates

It’s the most crucial, skip-it-and-regret-it step for every launch and copy project because it:

💡Offers valuable insights on what your audience *really* wants from you and your offer

💡Forms the building blocks of a highly-effective pre-launch AND launch strategy

💡Pinpoints the most compelling topics to talk about in your pre-launch, launch, and pretty much your entire content calendar

💡Is your secret weapon to writing copy and content that makes your audience go, “omg, I feel so seen!”

If only the whole process didn’t take so dang long!

Let me know if this sounds familiar ―

You send out a survey to your audience…

… then spend hours squinting at spreadsheets and scrolling through responses.

You try to curate and “condense” your research into a Google Doc…

But that’s tough when all of it feels crucial.

(Plus what if you really need that obscure but *could* be relevant detail about your audience’s habits?)

So you copy over 90% of the information only to still find yourself waist-deep in an ocean of data.

Even when you're finally ready to get into the writing flow, you're constantly disrupting your train of thought ―

Because you’re bouncing in and out of 50 open tabs to find the crucial nuggets of info you need.

(And as it turns out, that seemingly obscure detail *was* vital, but it's now playing hide-and-seek somewhere within the depths of your sprawling Google Doc.)

It’s a mess

Well, all of that stops here!

I’m about to show you how you can:

⚡Streamline your audience research effortlessly

⚡ Organise all your audience research into ONE convenient hub so all your key insights are just a click away.

⚡ Zero in on only the most relevant pieces of information at the right time so you can slip into the writing flow…

Using one of the most versatile tools in my business!

You’ll love this workshop if:

🙌 You want a better audience research process besides staring at spreadsheets and scrolling through Google Docs

🙌 You’re curious about Airtable and want to know how to leverage its features to help you streamline your process

🙌 You’re already using Airtable but you want to know how to maximise its features to streamline your research process

🙌 You’re familiar with the voice-of-customer research process, but you’re looking for an easy way to speed up the process

You’re better off giving this workshop a miss if:

You already have a way of organising audience research that works for you ―

Great! If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

❌ You want to learn how to use Airtable for other purposes, like creating a content calendar, tracking your leads, or more ―

While the strategies I show you are transferable to other “Bases,” this workshop only focuses on how I use it to organise & streamline audience research.

❌ You want to learn the strategy behind HOW to conduct voice-of-customer & audience research

This workshop assumes you’re already familiar with the how and why behind audience research + message mining.

While you’ll get a copy of the type of questions I ask in my surveys and a copy of my message mining base ― I don’t go in-depth into the strategy behind the best questions to ask for your specific audience.

Rather, it’s focused on what to do *after* you’ve sent out your surveys and how to organise the data in a cohesive way using Airtable.

(Looking to learn about the strategy *behind* audience research? Peep the FAQs below.)

.

Hey, You.

I’m Ash Chow ―

Launch strategist, conversion copywriter, and an Enneagram 4 who can’t stop spending time wallowing in her feelings.

While I love nerding out on audience research to pinpoint the exact emotions and challenges the audience is wrestling with ―

I HATE spreadsheets with a passion.

And I resented using it to sort through all my audience research.

But then I discovered Airtable and all of its glorious functions, and fell head-over-mini-heels in love!

I use Airtable for nearly everything in my business.

I use it to plan my social media content calendar, collect lead inquiries & client testimonials, keep track of the gazillion courses I’ve purchased…

And I even used it to plan my wedding!

(Using Airtable’s Filter & Group function, I was able to keep track of our wedding vendors, guest list, budget, and all the finicky wedding details― without drowning in information overload!

And I’ll show you how to wield these functions to your advantage too.)

But my absolute favourite way to use Airtable is to organise my audience and VOC research.

It’s been an absolute game-changer at curating information when I’ve worked with clients who can collect a staggering 4,000 responses from one survey.

I’m able to leverage its features to spot patterns within individual audience segments that trigger ideas for how to create profitable launch strategies and write high-impact copy.

I’m able to dive into the writing process faster because I’m no longer jumping between multiple tabs and fatiguing my brain from all the context-switching.

And now, I’m going to show you how you too can tap into Airtable to streamline your audience research process without the overwhelm!

Ready to revamp your audience research in the afternoon?

“But isn’t Airtable just another version of a spreadsheet?”

Yes, and a racecar is just another version of a bicycle.

Both are capable of getting you to the same destination, but one offers a turbocharged shortcut that can get you there faster with more flash and substance.

And that turbocharge *really* kicks in when you know how to navigate it.

In this workshop, I’m going to show you how to steer in the right direction with Airtable so you can transform the overwhelming data chaos into a treasure trove of information AND dive into the writing process faster armed with the right insights.

So what do you say?

FAQs

I’m brand new to Airtable ― will this help me?

Like with any new piece of software, it may take time to wrap your head around the different terminology and dashboard. But once you’ve signed up for an account, this workshop will show you the exact steps to take to organise your audience research in a way that works for you.

I don’t get thaat many responses from my surveys. Will your steps and strategies still be useful for me?

Yes! While a tiny handful of my clients can get an eye-watering amount of survey responses, I’ve also used the same strategies when working with clients with smaller audiences (who only get 5-10 responses to their surveys).

Either way, Airtable has been a game changer for helping me compile all the info about the audience and the client’s offer in ONE place so I’m no longer surfing through multiple tabs.

It’s even helped me create a comprehensive database for my *own* offers and audience research ― one that I can update and return to again and again when writing my copy

What if I’m new to audience and voice-of-customer research and want to learn HOW to do that before I learn how to use Airtable?

Check out the Voice of Customer Vault by my friend Nicola Moors! She shares her entire research process so you can understand exactly what goes into audience research and how to ask the best questions for your specific audience.

With the strategy from Nic combined with my Airtable training, you’ll knock your next audience research project outta the park for less than a night out at your favourite restaurant.

Do I need to get the paid version of Airtable?

Nope. You can easily conduct your audience research using the free version of Airtable. The only reason you’ll need to upgrade is if:

  • Your “records” (AKA your survey responses or rows in the database) exceed 1000
  • You want to invite collaborators (like a team member) to edit your database
